Session 1 Monday

Today’s pictures

A busy day of camp all around! After a breakfast of waffles and sides, our first time brownies were our very first group to brave the pool this morning for their swim test. Meanwhile, our Oompa Loompa program spent some time at our nature center with environmental educator volunteer Feather. While there, they painted pinecones into beautiful flowers.

Most of our groups took their turn shopping in the Tuck Shop today, where Mama Clover, the Tuck Shop manager, helped campers pick out souvenirs. Plushies, slinkies, and light-up bouncy balls were pretty popular picks today.

Arts and Crafts was a popular place today as well, with our Counselors in Training making journals, Oompa Loompa campers creating their own logos, On Belay painting their masterpieces onto rocks, and 7 Hills Sorcery crafting their very own unicorn horns. Our local sorcerers also got some time in writing and learning spells and picking out the perfect wands, while On Belay began their training on the ropes course!

The tacos at lunch proved to be a camper favorite, and our amazing chef Bernie followed it up with a chicken dinner tonight. After dinner we had a very exciting night with camper’s choice! No matter what unit, campers could choose to go to one of 3 activities: rounder, a baseball-like game brought over by our counselors from the UK; a Taylor Swift dance party; and creating flags and banners at Arts and Crafts.

We’re ready for another just as fun day tomorrow! See pictures from today here.
