As another beautiful day passes here at Camp a Seven Hills, we start to prepare for the end of our fourth session. We were happy to see our Discovering the Great Outdoors and Scuba Diving Exploration trip groups return safely back to camp today (check out some of their great pictures here on our Flickr page.) We were all able to get together for a special Prom themed dinner and then enjoyed the company of one another at our closing camp fire before heading back to units for our last night at camp.
Today at Camp Seven Hills was a toasty one! The RCIT’s kept busy helping the younger girls in our Pony Pals program up at the barn where they all avoided the sun by practicing in the indoor arena. The ropes girls tackled the Centipede, one of our 8 high ropes elements, today utilizing their upper body strength. But, unfortunately we all had to say good bye to the girls in our Sneak a Peek Mini Session today. The girls were excited to see their families, but we were sad to see them go. During the parent program, the rest of camp was able to enjoy either a relaxing swim or some meditative yoga to end the day on a fantastic note.
While the thermometer sky rocketed to 90 degrees, everyone here at Camp Seven Hills continued to enjoy themselves at arts and crafts, nature, the ropes course, the barn, and most importantly, boating and the pool. Our Discovering the Great Outdoors program left for Letchworth State park this morning and we can’t wait to hear about all the great things they’ll have the opportunity to do when they get back. Back here at camp, our Fun in the Sun And Scuba Diving programs even dared to spend some time in our hot kitchen and decorated festive Camp Seven Hills cup cakes! Hopefully the second half of the week will be as great as the first 😉
The weather was absolutely perfect today here at Camp Seven Hills. The heat wasn’t nearly enough to stop all the fun happenings on camp. Our Mud Warrior group went for a very muddy hike as well as played a very muddy game of Gaga. Our three horse programs, including our youngest girls in the Pony Pals program, were able practice their ridding skills as well as finishing their chores over at the barn. Almost everyone made sure to find time to get over to the pool or down to boating in attempts to stay cool in the hot, hot sun. We ended today with a fun beach themed pool party to kick off our Hugh School Musical theme for the week! You can checkout all the great photos from session four so far here on our flicker page 🙂 .
Welcome to session four here at Camp Seven Hills! Over the weekend some of our friends were able to visit Letchworth State Park and participate in a white water rafting adventure down through the gorge. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience and we are thankful so many families were able to come with their girls to make it an even more memorable trip. Today at camp everyone was busy with check-in, settling into units, swim tests, ridding evaluations, and opening camp fire after a homemade pizza dinner with salad. Stay posted to find out what the campers end up choosing as our theme for this week 😉 .
We are sad to report the ending of another session here at Camp Seven Hills. Campers were both happy and sad knowing they would be leaving us, but also knowing they would also have the opportunity to see their families for the first time in a week! At the barn, our horse girls were busy practicing their trotting and cantering while at ropes our High Wire Adventure girls were tackling the Dangling Duo (click here to see some of the great pictures). Although we have five, two-week programs that will be staying with us for the weekend who will continue onto session four, it was still a sad day as we wished all our new friends farewell after a fun day of Superhero Relays and Friday Follies. A big thank you to all the parents that made this week uniquely great!
We had another beautiful day here at Camp Seven Hills, despite the wind. Some of our campers had the opportunity to run the zip line over at the ropes course, our scuba girls continued working on their skills with Scuba Joe this morning, and one of our units even successfully made some delicious chicken wing dip at one of their cookouts 🙂 . The CIT’s and RCIT’s have been very busy working on their skills both in their units and at the barn. We will hopefully have some pictures of them on the Flickr page very soon.
