Session 3 Monday

Campers are into the swing of things at Camp Seven Hills today! Quite a few were brave enough to join the road runners or polar bear swim before breakfast. If campers decide to wake up early for a run or swim in the morning twice this week, they can earn the road runners or polar bear badge! After a typical all-camp flag ceremony and breakfast, programs split off to begin their activities.

Perfect Shot visited Mama Clover at the Tuck Shop to grab some Camp Seven Hills souvenirs. Meanwhile, Molly’s Slumber Party campers worked on making invitations asking Molly (the pink and purple whale that lives in the camp lake) to come to their various parties they want to host! Na’maste campers tried out some pilates with their counselors Rocket and Eleven. Sugarbush began an extra long scavenger hunt (apparently the last one wasn’t difficult enough…) that led them allllll over camp, put together by our nature educator Feather.

While Sugarbush was still searching, Tally Ho went boating, Highland played with clay at Arts and Crafts, and our Cupcake War program made cream cheese frosting for their cupcakes. Our Clue program had an extra special activity this afternoon–a field trip to an escape room! Can you believe our campers were able to escape Alcatraz and a pirate ship?!

After lunch and siesta (daily post-lunch rest time), Pine Hollow went on over to sports to play kickball, while Sugarbush created slime at Arts and Crafts. Tally Ho was the first of three groups that decided to improve their marksmanship at Archery–Sugarbush and Highland followed suit! Over at our Nature center, Feather led a lost unit hike with Plainsman, a relaxing nature walk with Tally Ho, and a bug hunt with Brownie Lodge. We were very excited to see some deer and twin fawns in the woods throughout the afternoon!

Our ropes director Luna was busy today teaching trust games and showing the (low) ropes to Pine Hollow and Tally Ho. Brownie Lodge moved over to boating and learned to canoe. When it was time to clean up, all 12 brownies lifted the canoes and carried them up to the boathouse on their own!

During lunch, our red and blue team leaders Rocket (red) and Sweetcorn (blue) went head-to-head in a lip sync battle. The red team won this round, but the game is far from over! See pictures of today here.
