How did the week go so fast? Somehow it is our last full day of camp at Seven Hills!
Big things were happening today as each program put the capstone on the hard work and new skills they learned this week. The Oompa Loompa program made their very own candies including chewing gum (cherry flavored!) and chocolate bars. The On Belay program and Hidden Treasures walked an elevated wire that led them to the zip line–sweet relief after a scary walk. Walk, Trot, and Canter, Pony Pals, and Tack and Ride of course spent plenty more time with their horses in the barn.
Feather, our nature educator, got the chance to lead more hidden nature hikes in the woods around camp, and four programs took advantage of pool time to splash around (read: play mermaids). There were more cookouts at lunch today for Tack and Ride and our CITs–mac n’ cheese, pizza pie irons, and of course more zoey cakes!!
Most programs got another chance to shop in the Tuck Shop with Mama Clover today, to grab any last minute souvenirs! Pony Pals and Oompa Loompas took a turn on the lake today in their boats, and Sorcery took some time to relax and watch a bit of Harry Potter, complete with pumpkin pastries.
After dinner, our night ended with Seven Hills’ closing campfire, where each unit performed their own song and The Lorax was read aloud–a camp tradition. Staff sang some slow songs, and campers walked the friendship path lit with candle-holding staff members. See pictures of today here.
