Camp Seven Hills’ first full day of week four has been chock full of activities! Campers wasted no time jumping in to everything camp has to offer right after breakfast. They especially took advantage of boating on the lake today. While many groups got out on the water, others played with it at sports! Pine Hollow campers were the first ones playing water sports with sports counselor Barry.
At the same time, Tally Ho found themselves at Arts and Crafts to decorate some flags, while Highland practiced some skits at drama and Plainsman had a shelter-building competition at Nature. Both Walk, Trot, and Canter and Tack & Ride had their time in the barn today to practice riding and get some barn chores done.
Sneak a Peak juniors had their chance to buy some souvenirs in the Tuck Shop this morning, while Highland painted pinecones at Nature, Tally Ho came up with team songs in drama, and our ropes director Luna taught low ropes safety and skills, like the spotter stance!
The CITs had a floating lunch today at boating, where they packed up some sandwiches and took them on kayaks, paddle boards, canoes, and some other unique boating choices. After a restful siesta, Plainsman took aim at archery and Bunkhouse tried out their techniques at boating. A very popular activity today at Arts and Crafts was to decorate Mickey ears to go along with our Disney-themed week! Campers glued sparkles, pom poms, googly eyes, and fabric to their ears to make them one-of-a-kind. Our sorcery group, however, spent some time turning ordinary sticks into magic wands with some hot glue and paint.
After dinner, it was time for our first camper’s choice of the week. Since they no longer had to stay with their units, everyone had a choice between dancing to Disney karaoke, coloring Disney coloring sheets, or playing gaga at sports. See pictures from today here.
