Session 4 Thursday

see pictures here!

Our last full day of week 4 is already here! After breakfast, Sugarbush and Highland moved right into boating on the lake while Pine Hollow had some time in Arts and Crafts to decorate their Mickey ears and some journals. Highland took some time after boating to shower and relax, doing each other’s hair and playing cards.

Hidden Treasures counselors put together an awesome escape room activity all over camp. After solving it, their prize was some girl scout cookies! Sugarbush had an award-winning cookout today in their unit. They made charcuterie boards, their own pizzas, and dessert parfaits!

After lunch, our climbing groups were busy trying their last high ropes challenge–Burma Bridge and Zipline! Campers walked across a wire with two ropes in hand to get to a super high platform which they launched off of for the zipline. Even if it was too scary to make it all the way there, everyone was extremely brave for trying! Meanwhile, Highland played some trivia in the dining hall while Tally Ho had a boating race across the lake!! The JCITs played some team games with their unit head, Linus before heading to showers. Sugarbush took their turn at boating, and Highland took a hike through the woods to find the lost units.

Sorcery had an exciting day in the dining hall making potions. They added dragon’s blood to wolfsbane and saw the reactions happening! Horse campers got in their last ride, saw the horses gallop out to pasture, and completed their barn chores. After our last dinner of the week, it was already time for closing campfire! We sang all of the fun songs we learned at camp this week, listened to The Lorax being read, and walked the friendship path lit by candles. We ended in a giant friendship circle and sang the song “Linger” as everyone said goodnight and walked back to their cabins with new and old friends. See pictures from today here.
