We are still awaiting photos from tonight so they will be posted at the earliest convenience.
The day is finally here, our last full day of camp. Although it is our last full day, it has been just as full as ever! Most of the camp started the morning with pancakes and bacon, while our friends in Pine Hollow enjoyed their last morning cookout.
Today our Sky’s The Limit group enjoyed a morning at the ropes course, completing Berma and Zip. Meanwhile, our Walk Trot Canter group spent their morning completing their final riding lessons and looking after the horses they have been riding this week.
Our friends over in Brownie Lodge spent some time riding this afternoon, as well as having a refreshing shower and spending some time in drama playing charades.
This afternoon, Pine Hollow enjoyed some relaxing time boating as well as shooting some arrows down in archery. Our J-CITS used their creativity to design a Lorax-themed slingshot range, which they tested out.
After an amazing day, we finished it off with our final closing campfire. Unlike our other closing campfires, tonight our campfire started with a torch being carried by all staff members to light the campfire. It then continued like any other campfire: singing songs, and giving out awards for years at camp, however, it also included the presentation of this year’s friendship stick to our camp director. Every year this stick is given out as a symbol of the new friendship bonds created among the staff members. We then finished it off the traditional way, creating a friendship chain and singing linger as each unit went off to bed.
