Session 2 Tuesday

It was our second full day here at camp and what better way to start the morning than with cereal for breakfast! After tummies were fed and the dining hall was cleaned, it was time to start our first set of activities for the day.

CIT’s began their morning at boating, whilst our Brownie Lodge campers headed into the Tuck Shop to purchase all of their exciting presents (including many stuffed animals!). Following this, cookouts began this week with our CIT’s having ramen for lunch! All the other campers enjoyed a variety of toppings to make their own sandwiches. This included our famous sun-butter and jelly to turkey, cheese, lettuce and more!

After lunch, it was time for our one hour siesta, where campers could enjoy some free time in their units through either playing games with their counsellors or making friendship bracelets and more. However, for a few of our counsellors, they had the opportunity to spend some time in the barn with some staff maybe being more scared than other’s!

On the other side of camp, both of our Brownie programs had fun either creating drawings through shaving foam (paint mixed in) or a dance party over in drama. Our campers in Highland spent their afternoon in the pool, whilst those doing the Saddle Savvy program enjoyed even more time in the barn! Over at sports, we had a few CIT’s shadow our My First Time Campers with a fun activity of water sports!

We then had a Back to The Future themed dinner tonight, which consisted of chicken nuggets and french fries (aka chips for our British counsellors) and a playlist of songs from past decades being played throughout the meal. After dinner, we ended the day with campers choice, whilst our My First Time campers had their closing campfire which was led by the CIT’s.
