Today was our last full day for some of our campers here at Seven Hills and what better way to start their last day than with Eggo waffles for breakfast! Our campers on the NYC trip got back super early this morning, so they all enjoyed sleeping in late, followed by their own cookout breakfast.
Arts and Crafts was definitely a popular activity today with our Climbers, Archers and Paddlers campers creating their own target drawings before using these targets for Archery! Our CIT’s spent the morning training, whilst campers over in Highland headed to sports for a few games of Tug of War. To no surprise at all, with 8 campers and 4 counsellors, the campers ended up winning two times in a row (and the counsellors really did try)! Lost unit hikes and tuck shop visits were also popular activities amongst units this morning. Off camp, our Bucket List campers went berry picking!
After lunch of chicken parmesan with breadsticks, several counsellors had the opportunity to go back in the barn during siesta, whilst our highland campers went swimming. Back in arts and crafts, our CIT’s painted, whilst our NYC campers created drawings for broadway! Our climbers, archers and paddlers campers spent their afternoon at the ropes course!
For dinner at Goofy’s Stardust Diner, campers were welcomed into the dining hall by our paparazzi (Sweetcorn and Lil Dude), before enjoying hot dogs, french fries and corn. Our kitchen staff also graced campers with several performances including Beauty and the Beast!
We ended the day with our closing campfire where we began to say goodbye to some of our campers this summer!
