Session 2 Wednesday

How are we already half way through Session 2? It’s crazy how fast time is going, but time flies when you’re having fun – especially for those campers who woke up extra early for road runners (running exercise) and polar bear (swimming exercise) this morning. For breakfast, we started off the day by singing songs in the dining hall to avoid the rain, whilst we waited for our meal of breakfast burrito’s.

After breakfast, our Climbing Master’s faced their fears and tackled the tower by climbing up the different walls/difficulties. Whilst this activity was taking place, over at Sports our Brownie Lodge campers earned badges by playing sports games, as our campers over in Highland played Gaga in the Gaga pit.

Our second activity of the day for our My First Time campers consisted of making friendship bracelets and key chains using a variety of beads. It was so much fun, that even the counsellors made their own bracelets! As this was going on at camp, our campers over in Bucket List spent their morning having a great time at Urban Air, jumping in the trampoline park, and having pizza/soda for lunch!

Several cookouts took place at lunch today for Highland and Tally-Ho, with Zoey cakes being the most popular meal discussed (cake batter filled with a variety of toppings of your choice)! For the rest of our campers and those that joined us from Windy Meadows, we enjoyed grilled cheese with tomato soup, salad, chips and girl scout cookies…maybe even some chocolate pudding too!

After lunch and once our one hour siesta was complete, it was then another afternoon of activities! This started off with our CIT’s using tie-dye in arts and crafts and look at their matching t-shirts! At the pool, our brownies had a splashing time playing with pool noodles with their buddies, especially with the weather getting warmer! For our Windy Meadows campers, they spent their afternoon at boating either in the lake or playing games with our sports/ropes counsellor Rascal. Volleyball and low ropes games were also played throughout the afternoon by our CIT’s and Bucket List campers.

After dinner at Goofy’s Stardust Diner, campers choice began with the options being; chalk drawing, dab dab dance party and the cup song! Following this, our CIT’s led a closing campfire for our friends over at Windy Meadows.

For our campers in NYC they are having the best time and will be arriving early in the morning back to camp! We will create a separate blog post on their adventures soon!
