We can’t believe today was our last full day for our session 4 campers. After breakfast of cinnamon rolls, with bacon and cereal, it was time to kick start the day with the first activity. Our Tack and Ride campers headed to Arts and Crafts to make clay horses, as our campers over in Highland headed to sports for a few games of tennis.
Boating was definitely the popular activity today, with many units/programs heading to the lake to find Molly the Whale, whilst also enjoying the warm weather. As this was happening, our Seven Hills Sorcery witches and wizards headed to the dining hall to create their very own potions. It felt like we were at Hogwarts for a second! Fishing with Feather and rock painting with Pascal were also activities that took place this morning before heading to lunch.
With cookouts happening in both Sugarbush and Highland, the remaining units enjoyed an American Backyard BBQ themed lunch. With hamburgers, chips (crisps for our British readers) and s’mores being served, it was great to see all the classic American outfits that were worn amongst both campers and counsellors.
With pool, boating and nature being the main areas chosen this afternoon, it was a great end for activities this session before our Tack and Ride campers completed their barn chores this evening. Following this, it was then time to head down to dinner. With Team Peewee and Team Fable flags being shown outside the dining hall amongst our Hidden Treasures campers, it was finally time to sit at the tables for dinner. However…our CIT’s (or should I say Minions) had other plans in store, with one goal in mind…to steal the moon!
After an exciting dinner, it was finally time for our closing campfire. Songs were sung, candles were lit and our CIT’s completed their training and are now officially interns at Camp Seven Hills. We are so incredibly proud of all the hard work they have put into becoming a counsellor one day and can’t wait to see how they thrive next week as interns!
