It’s been a great start to the week for our session 5 campers. After enjoying breakfast of croissants, sausages with fruit and yoghurt on the side, our Pony Pals headed to the pool for a morning swim. As this was happening, our My First Time campers made their very own fairy houses just in the middle of our Highland and Brownie Lodge units! Look at how creative all of these houses are!
For our JCIT’s, they spent their morning training, whilst our campers over in Highland enjoyed their first activity of the day with painting. We can’t believe how talented our campers are, especially when some staff can’t even draw a stick figure (myself included)! Following the first activity of the day, our campers continued to have fun in the morning, with programs splitting off into areas such as; the pool, tuck shop and even more arts and crafts!
After lunch, our Tack and Ride campers headed to the barn for an afternoon of riding, as our campers over in Sugarbush headed to the Nature Hut with Feather. Arts and Crafts continued to be the popular destination today, with our Walk, Trot and Canter campers creating clay horses.
Dinner tonight was a fun activity for our Pony Pals as they had their very own dinner cookout, which consisted of taco in a bag and hotdogs! On the other side of camp, our campers headed to the dining hall just before dinner to play a few indoor games, as the weather took a slight turn. With music playing in the background, it was a nice end to the day before we enjoyed spaghetti, meatballs and breadsticks…followed by pudding and cookies!
Our first campers choice of the session included; Olympics Trivia, Olympic Kick Off Dance Party and Torch Building. It’s been such a fun day and we cannot wait to see the next set of memories that are created here at Camp Seven Hills!
