Welcome back everyone and what an exciting day it’s been for everyone here at Camp Seven Hills! For breakfast this morning we had our very own (and VERY famous) coffee cake! This went down a treat for our campers, especially when they also had pretzel bites with cream cheese and watermelon to finish the meal off before a fun day ahead!

After our morning kapers were completed, it was time to start the first round of activities for the day. Boating was certainly the activity of choice today with several units wanting to take a splash in the water to cool down from the soaring temperatures that rose throughout the day.

As this was happening, our CIT’s had their first cookout of the summer having a delicious lunch full of chicken wing dip, pie iron pizzas and Zoey cakes ( a camp classic here at Seven Hills!) The food smelt delicious and we may very well have some future chefs amongst our CIT’s. For lunch over at the dining hall for the rest of our campers, we had our very own Mad Hatter Tea Party created by our super talented Program Director Robin! She even came up with the brilliant idea of iced tea to make it extra special for our campers this afternoon.

After lunch, it was time for our final afternoon of activities this week. Kick starting with jewellery making for our Brownie Lodge campers, CIT’s making targets for Archery and our Ice Scream, Your Scream Campers making their OWN ICECREAM! They were also very kind and invited some special guests along the way (myself included) and I must say…the service was excellent! The ropes course was also in full swing (no pun intended!) and they spent their afternoon going down the zip line!

Sadly, after dinner this evening, it was time for our closing campfire. Campers and counsellors sung songs, made lasting memories and for the final time this week, walked down our friendship path.

Session 1 campers, it has been the absolute best to have you this week and we hope to see you all again very soon!
