Rise and shine, campers! This morning kicked off with singing songs outside the iconic dining hall! It’s always so much fun to sing songs before a hearty breakfast and laughter filling the air! As this was happening, our lucky Plainsman campers got to enjoy their second cookout of the week featuring Eggo waffles!
Over at the lake, Fishing with Feather was a super popular activity this morning! Campers and counsellors reeled in fish after fish, grinning with their fresh catches and proud faces. Meanwhile, across the lake where Molly the Whale calls home, our Sugarbush campers spent their morning boating and crafting friendship bracelets. Just two minutes down the friendship path, our CITs dove into badgework with their CIT Director Eggo (yes, we have a counsellor AND a waffle obsession—don’t judge us!)
Before we knew it, it was time for a lunch filled with biscuits and gravy, but you may have noticed something was different with our outfits! That’s right, in honour of our Wild and Wacky theme this week, we held an Opposite Lunch! Campers and counsellors rocked inside-out shirts, backward hats, and shoes that may or may not have appeared and the wrong foot.
In the afternoon, Night Owls sharpened their skills at archery, Ice Cream, You Scream campers enjoyed an afternoon getting clean, and the CITs turned their boating session into an artistic masterpiece, arranging boats into a flower shape using teamwork, creativity, and a lot of patience! Just before dinner, sports took over the activities for the afternoon. Campers cheered each other on with a variety of games including basketball, volleyball and soccer! (P.S. that’s football for our British readers!) Our final Campers Choice of the week lit up the evening! Everyone found something that brought joy to their day with sports, arts and crafts and even Yoga! What a wild and wacky day it’s been and we can’t wait for it to begin all over again tomorrow!
