Cue the spotlight, campers — Session 2 is officially here and we’re ready to perform for a fantastic week here at camp! We’re kicking things off with one of our most beloved themes ever… BROADWAY MUSICALS! This year, some of our campers will be heading to NYC to see a truly spectacular musical…Wicked! Can you hear my jealous heart singing “Defying Gravity” from over here?!

Our amazing counsellors got straight to work welcoming all of you back to camp this afternoon! Whether they were guiding families into the units, offering sweet smiles (and Girl Scout cookies) in the dining hall, or showing off the must-have merch at our tuck shop, camp was buzzing with excitement and it shows on our Flickr account!

Once luggage was unpacked, games were played, and cookout ideas were decided, it was time for the main even… DINNER! And oh boy, it did not disappoint — we’re talking pizza, salad, and YES, even more Girl Scout cookies. For my overseas readers breakfast pizza is now officially a thing (and this is coming from a British counsellor that has never experienced breakfast pizza before!)

To top it all off, it was time for our opening campfire. With the sun setting in the background and our CITs (after several attempts) creating the most perfect campfire, it was an evening filled with happiness and songs being sung by our very own counsellors where most were in tune (we tried, okay?)

And just like that, our Broadway-themed week is off to a standing ovation and we can’t wait to see where the rest of the week takes us!
