NYC 2025 Trip was so WICKEDLY GOOD!

Hi Guys! What a crazy and exciting few days it’s been for our campers who went to New York City to see Wicked on Broadway! Our campers arrived back in the early hours of this morning, and it’s safe to say they are now exhausted from all the fun they’ve been having!

The itinerary for this trip was jam-packed with it starting at 6:00am Tuesday morning. Departing camp at 6:30am, our campers made their way to the big apple with songs being sung and movies being watched for their 7 hour bus journey! Arriving in the city at around lunchtime, our campers had a self-guided visit to our Girl Scout Central and look at all the cool merch they found! Following this, RiseNY was next on the list of fun things to do and as an international, this is certainly a location on our bucket lists! With admission to the Interactive Museum and virtual reality ride, it was time for our NYC campers to head for dinner at Ellen’s Stardust Diner, arranged by Girl Scouts! Dinner and a show…what more could you ask for in the heart of the city!

With stomachs full, our campers then had the opportunity to head to Times Square for an hour of shopping! I’m pretty sure the M and M’s store was a big hit amongst our campers…and counsellors also! After a long journey and an exciting afternoon of activities, our campers headed to the Courtyard for a full nights rest before the main event took place on Wednesday!

With breakfast at 8am the following morning, our campers and counsellors checked out at 9am before heading to the Empire Dance Studio for 9:45am. With the photo’s shown, our campers learnt songs and dances to some of the most popular shows on Broadway before heading to lunch for a full NYC experience of pizza and soda! Just after lunch, it was FINALLY time for the main event…WICKED! After speaking with campers and counsellors, it was truly a spectacle and a must-see show on Broadway! Even I’m considering heading to NYC after camp just to see it!

We hope all of those on the trip made memories that will last a lifetime and thank you to the staff who made this trip possible.
