What a fantastic Tuesday it’s been for our campers and counsellors this week! Starting off the morning strong linking with our theme of Battle of the Colours, our cinnamon roll breakfast had either red or blue icing on top and as you can imagine, our campers certainly tried to swap trays to link with their team…thank you Kitchen Staff!
After breakfast, our Climbing Masters headed to the high ropes course and tackled their fears by reaching new heights (literally!) It was very impressive to see and we can’t wait to take even more photos tomorrow. Throughout the morning, our program areas filled up with arts and crafts, drama, boating and even our famous Fishing with Feather! For cookouts today, we had 3 units taking part; Highland, Sugarbush and Tally-Ho! I hear buffalo chicken wing dip and zoey cakes were popular dishes that were made today! After lunch, rock painting took place for our Sneak a Peek campers, whilst our Hidden Treasure campers went boating!
Later this afternoon, shaving cream twister was the place to be for our Sneak a Peek campers, who really got into the spirit and our counsellors also took part! Note to self…do not attend shaving cream twister if you do not want to have it on your face!!! As this was happening, we welcomed our Piperwood campers to Seven Hills! With the weather heating up throughout the day, the swimming pool and boating area were hotspots for our campers!
Dinner this evening consisted of; beef stir fry, rice, vegetables and plum slices..finishing off the meal with a slice of cake! As always, after dinner, it was time for Campers Choice, as our Sneak a Peek campers enjoyed their closing campfire within the unit, ran by our very own CITs, before getting ready to leave tomorrow morning – we hope you have had the best time Bunkhouse! As I’m writing this, our campers are now fast asleep in bed and are counting down the hours before they can enjoy the fun all over again tomorrow!
