Happy Sunday everyone and what a Sunday it’s been! After we sadly said goodbye to our friends who visited us this past weekend, it was time to get back into the action with all our staff who got ready for our Session 4 campers!
As always, we welcomed our campers at the very beginning (the parking lot) in which many parents/guardians carried the heavy luggage (of course), whilst the campers ran to our first station to get their temperature checks done before heading to our dining hall! Units then slowly started to fill up as our campers continued to arrive with their excitement and creativity for the week ahead! Once check-in was complete at 3:00pm, it was then time for units to discuss what their cookouts will be for the week and my goodness do we have some creative ideas coming up…I may even have to ‘accidently’ stop by one time!
Following unit time and with all the ideas discussed, it was pizza time! With our weekly tradition here at Camp Seven Hills, we love to have pizza and salad (and sometimes Girl Scout Cookies) to kick start the fun! Once pizza was consumed and the beginning of lifelong friendships were made, campers began to head to our all camp fire circle for our annual opening campfire!
With the sun beginning to set, new and old songs were sung, creating a beautiful atmosphere for the most magical week ahead. Our theme this week is ‘Around the World in 6 Days’ and we can’t wait to see all the fun things that are set to take place this week!
P.S…it’s also our Troop Liaison Applesauce’s birthday today, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY Applesauce!
