Hello all and welcome back to our page! Yesterday was a super exciting day for us here at camp with lots of new activities taking place to kick start the week!
As any day should, once we all woke up from the fun of campfire the night before, breakfast was the first thing on our minds! Pancakes and bacon made an appearance with LOTS of maple syrup filling the dining hall…there may have even been a spillage of syrup on someone’s plate also resulting in a floating pancake!
Once breakfast was eaten, dishes were cleaned and songs were played, it was time for activities to begin! Archery was the first hotspot of the day with our Tally Ho campers making their attempts at getting a bullseye. As this was happening, our Mud Challengers had a morning spent throwing mud at one another (no I’m not kidding). They created mud balls and chucked them in the air, whilst also creating art work through the use of mud…only at camp would that be considered a normal morning! And of course, us staff couldn’t say no to joining in on the fun!
Our Scuba campers begun their morning with swimming…taught by our very own Scuba Joe before they head off to Canada next week! Speaking of water, our Dirt Diggers headed over to sports for water sports! With the air filling of laughter all morning, lunch then soon followed! Sandwiches, macaroni salad and fruit were on the menu for the afternoon and it was the perfect meal for a sunny day!
Following lunch, boating, ropes games, fishing with Feather, EVEN MORE water sports, muddy slip ‘n’ slide, drama and arts and crafts were the main activities that took place throughout the afternoon before campers headed to the dining hall for a sir fry dinner! With our first campers choice of the week completed, it was time for our campers to head to bed before they woke up for another day of fun!
