Good Morning all – I hope your Tuesday was just as fun as ours was! As always, we began our morning with campers choosing to either complete Road Runners or a Polar Bear swim and yes it’s just as it sounds, you can choose to run with your counsellor or swim in slightly cold waters first thing in the morning! Straight after this was the oh so important breakfast! With bagels, cream cheese and cereal as the options, it was a perfect meal to kick start a perfect day!
Activities this morning included making games over at our sports field, analysing the cool findings beneath our lake over at Nature, arts and crafts and swimming! Speaking of swimming, our scuba campers put on their scuba suits for the first time and look how cool they look! If it wasn’t 90 degree heat, I’d try and get one to walk around camp in, although I may have a few strange looks!
With plates cleaned at the dining hall after lunch, our Plainsman campers had their own cookout which included buffalo chicken wing dip and our very famous dessert…Zoey cakes! We may have even had two counsellors attempt to make a cake using a pot and a spoon…remember the key word being attempt! Once again, our arts and crafts room was the hotspot for activities amongst our campers, whilst our JCITs played games over in drama with the CIT Director Eggo! Fishing with Feather and Archery were some of the final activities that took place in the afternoon before we headed over to the dining hall for chicken patties and tater tots for dinner!
Campers Choice this evening was a super fun one as we had our very own Frog (counsellor not animal) running water aerobics, whilst our Oompa Loompas watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! It was a unique day at camp and certainly one to put in the scrapbook!
