What a Thursday it’s been for everyone here at camp! As soon as our eyes opened this morning, the first thing on all our campers minds was breakfast and what a breakfast it was! We had…DONUTS! They were so good that even our Brownie campers spent the entirety of breakfast calling them Timbits (if only)!
Once breakfast was finished, campers began to quite literally run to their first session of the day! I must say receiving a notification from Brownie Lodge at 9:20am asking for photos to take place regarding our very own unit head Bill and several Brownies playing in mud, I would have thought you were joking. Turns out, it was very much true and look at all the smiles on their faces! Archery and horse riding were popular hotspots that took place straight after breakfast, whilst our campers over in Tally Ho created their very own obstacle courses!
Lunch today consisted of hotdogs with pears, which was the perfect meal to fill our stomachs up before our second set of activities begun. Speaking of activities, our mud challengers had facial masks along with nail painting (I may have had to join in on the fun because who can say no to a face mask at camp?!?!) Walking away from Sugarbush and towards the dining hall, campers listened to music and played games, as our Scuba campers made beaded animals over in arts and crafts! As this was all happening, another unique activity took place just over in drama. Oh yes, our JCIT’s had a Just Dance Party and it was certainly something!
Winding down the day with dinner, chicken alfredo with vegetables and of course, our very famous breadsticks were on the menu this evening, which was the perfect meal to finish off the day before heading to our closing campfire. With the sun setting in the background, our campers and counsellors sung their hearts out, with our Brownie Lodge campers creating their very own song. In addition to singing, we celebrated several campers receiving their 5 year awards, whilst also celebrating our CIT’s completing their program – well done CIT’s and well done to our CIT Director for making it all happen! You should all be very proud of yourselves!
