Hello parents/guardians! I hope you’ve all had as much fun on your Tuesday as we have here at camp! To start the morning off in style, we had not only coffee cake for breakfast, but cinnamon rolls as well! For someone like me who has a HUGE sweet tooth, this was the best surprise to start the day off with, and coffee of course!
With breakfast quickly devoured and morning kapers completed for the day, activities were the main focus on our campers and counsellors minds and how could they not be! Water sports was a very popular choice this morning by our JCITs who even happened to get the cameraman wet, whilst our brownies were on the hunt for bugs just a few long strides away! Cookouts were also super popular today with majority of our units cooking something super exciting, whether that be chicken wing dip, pie iron pizzas or even dirt and worms!
After lunch of chicken fajitas, we had a spell-bounding afternoon with our sorcery campers playing quidditch! Yes, you heard correctly, quidditch was a popular activity in the middle of Holland, NY (aka Camp Seven Hills), as houses competed against one another on flying broomsticks (bats from our sports closet!) With showers and swimming being popular areas later on in the afternoon, it was time to begin dinner. This consisted of beef stir fry, vegetables, sauce and pears, which was the perfect meal to fill our stomachs up before heading into our second campers choice of the evening. This included; cheese roll, arts and crafts and Bussin Bingo led by our very own Freckles!
As I’m writing this, campers are now tucked into bed and peacefully dreaming before the fun begins all over again tomorrow!
