Week 2 – Day 2 ! (:

We had an exciting and adventurous second day here at Camp Seven Hills!

Heads Up, Heels Down girls had a fun day at the barn completing their chores and then they had eventful lessons. One group learned to walk, stop, steer, and two-point position; the second group walked, trotted, and cantered. In the afternoon, the girls took their swim lessons and visited the Tuck Shop.

Our Canter Up girls learned to muck stalls this morning and then worked in their horse coloring packets. Later in their lesson, they learned how to steer a horse, along with walking, stopping, and two-point position.

Preparing for their trip to Letchworth, our Discover the Great Outdoors group had a busy day at camp. Their packed all their gear for tomorrow’s ship out to Letchworth State Park, spent time doing activities at drama, visited the Tuck Shop, and finished the afternoon making things at arts and crafts.

Getting ready for their trip to New York City, our Bippity, Boppity, Boo girls packed their things and went right to having fun on camp. They took the Lost Unit Hike, spent time in arts and crafts, and made fairy houses with our Brownies.

Climbing, Climb Away spent much of the morning doing rope game activities at sports, along with time on the low ropes course. In the afternoon, they spent time at arts and crafts, and swimming at the pool.

Our Pony Pals played soccer with the entire bunkhouse community! They also went to the Tuck Shop and spent their first time at the barn. The girls rode horses for their first time at camp and are very excited to keep riding for the rest of the week.

The Mollie’s Tales girls woke up bright and early and swam the Polar Bear Swim today (BRRRR! But only two more times and they will get their Polar Bear patch). The girls also spent lots of time learning about our lake and its water. Later, they played Gaga, a game similar to dodgeball.

Our JCITS are now on their second week here. They spent the morning learning about planning different things at camp. They also did archery at sports and boating, and they’ll do their campout in tents tonight.

The Grossology girls also went to Polar Bear this morning. They made their first fun thing: gummy worms! The girls also went to archery and painted rocks in arts and crafts.

The Great Cupcake Challenge girls completed their swim tests today, and then spent time making skits in drama. They visited the Tuck Shop, played mind and card games, and made recipe books.

Our Sneak-A-Peak girls went swimming in the pool and got to play pool basketball! They also went boating in the lake, spent time in the Tuck Shop, and did rock painting in arts and crafts.

High Wire Adventure spent time on the ropes course today. First completing team-building games in the sports fields, they then went onto Swinging Log and Nitro (two high-rope apparatuses).

Our Outdoor Gourmet program went Polar Bear swimming this morning and also swam later on. The girls completed part of their badge work and made brownies for all of the camp, like a camp feast!

Overall our girls had a great day and everyone is looking forward to having fun. Can’t wait to see what the week brings!

Week 2 – Opening Day!

Although the weather made move in difficult, we were still successful and finished off great. Our swim tests and riding tests took place, followed by a delicious pizza dinner.

Opening campfire was held inside the dining hall but was still a blast! Staff presented skits about their units and our weekly camp theme: “The Fabulous Camp Olympics.” Many songs were learned and new memories made.

We are looking for a memorable and fun week here at Camp Seven Hills!

Week 1 – Day 5

Camp Seven Hills had a beautiful, fun, and busy fifth day!

With each unit finishing their busy week plans, the girls continued to make memories and have fun times doing their daily activities.

The night was finished with closing campfire! Each unit sang a song for the camp, counselors read the traditional book The Lorax by Dr. Seuss and finished with the friendship path. The friendship path consists of all of the counselors lighting a path with candles as the campers say their last goodbyes.

Week 1 – Day 4

The camp was beautiful on day four at Camp Seven Hills!

The Babysitter’s Club went to sports in the morning and played soccer, followed by a fun filled time at the pool. In the afternoon, the girls worked on team-building skills on the low ropes course, completed more lessons with their babysitting certification course, and finished with a trip to the Tuck Shop.

The Junior CIT girls spent some of their morning in the Tuck Shop, followed by training. Then had a fun afternoon doing archery and playing Gaga.

Our Silly Scientists took an adventurous hike after their swimming lessons, followed by a fun time in arts and crafts.

Heads Up, Heels Down spent lots of time at the barn, furthering their riding skills to trotting and the basics of raised rails.

The Islands in the Sky girls had fun messing around in drama during the morning. Then all afternoon they went to the heights and faced the challenges of the two line and the cat walk.

The Night Owls slept in late and then had fun in Arts and Crafts, along with spending some time at sports doing Archery.

The Canter Up girls learned how to trot while in two point position today on a lead line.

Our Duct Tape Art group continued to make duct tape creations, spent time at drama, shopped at the Tuck Shop, and went on the Lost Unit hike.

Camping My Way girls had a full day doing a bit of everything. They made fairy houses and talked about different animal habitats in Nature, did team-building activities with Low Ropes Course, and spent some time in the Tuck Shop.

It’s My First Time said goodbye to Seven Hills. However, they had a fun filled day with swimming, shopping at the Tuck Shop, and time at arts and crafts.

After Campers’ Choice their was an All-Camp Cupid Shuffle dance outside the dining hall (Check out the photos!). Then to finish the night off, Woodland Way, Brownie Lodge, Sugarbush, and Plainsman are camping out this evening in tents.

Week 1- Day 3

We’ve had another fun and adventurous day at Camp Seven Hills on the third day of camp! It’s been a little wet here, but each program has made the best of their day doing fun activities.

Our Brownies got their swim lessons underway bright and early following breakfast, along with a trip to the tuck shop. The Silly Scientists got busy doing a fun experiment making bubbles with Maple Syrup. Yum! It’s Our First Time had lots of fun playing games at sports.

Our Junior CIT girls made the best of the wet grounds and took part in disability day. As part of our BFF program, focusing on being a friend first, the girls were given a disability for part of the day. This program is made to help the girls recognize what life would be like for a camper with her disability and the challenges she may face.

The Islands in the Sky group prepared themselves for the ropes challenges by playing lots of team building activities.

The Night Owls slept in late, made their own breakfast, and had some fun at archery. They also had an exciting night with games and pizza at Lasertron.

Our Babysitters Club girls started their online training course!

The Canter Up girls had a great time at the barn. They continued walking on their own and learned two point position, a basic riding position used when trotting and going over jumps.

The Heads Up, Heels Down girls also spent time at the barn. Although the weather delayed their lesson, they still got riding time, learning a walk, trot, and canter series.

Our Duct Tape Art group made fun stuff with duct tape in Arts and Crafts.

Camping My Way girls spent time at the sports fields playing fun games and doing archery.

Each unit finished the day with cook outs, making their own dinner and deserts. Everyone had a success and many girls got to try new things, including Tacos in a Bag, Breakfast for Dinner, Mac and Cheese on the fire, Zoey Cakes (which is cake batter with a candy of your choice inside!), and the traditional S’mores!

Week 1- Day 2

Camp Seven Hills had a rainy but exciting second day of camp.
Our Junior CIT girls made the best of the gloomy weather by spending the day in training, participating in discussions, writing in journals, teaching camp songs, and doing group team building activities.
Our Silly Scientists made a trip up to the barn today and enjoyed petting the ponies.
The Islands in the Sky group had fun with ropes games in the morning, made a trip to the Tuck Shop to get some Camp Seven Hills goodies, and learned lots of new camp songs.
The Night Owls went on a scavenger hunt throughout the camp today and had a great time. They tracked down lots of silly things from the counselors around camp and even found Freckles’ bananas.
Our Babysitters Club girls enjoyed making funny skits and watching others perform in drama with Belle.
The Canter Up girls had a great time at the barn and were very helpful with the horses.
Our Duct Tape Art group made friendship bracelets in arts and crafts, performed skits, and dressed up in drama. Plus, they made a trip to Tuck Shop for some shopping.
The Heads Up, Heels Down girls enjoyed time at the barn today, and some girls even had their first riding lessons.
Camping My Way girls had a great time trying new drama games.
It’s My First Time had a lot of fun in Arts and Crafts and really enjoyed the garlic bread at dinner tonight.
