Today was unfortunately the final day for our girls in the It’s My First Time Mini session. Our youngest friends were able to enjoy some of the many activities we offer throughout the week one final time including visiting the tuck shop, swimming at the pool, and making one last treasure at arts and crafts. Before they departed the girls were able to provide a small show for their parents and other relatives showcaseing some of the songs they’ve learned during their stay here with us. They will surely be missed and we cannot wait to see them again next year hopefully.
We were all so thankful for another great day here at Camp Seven Hills. Though there was a little bit of rain earlier in the day, it quickly passed and the beautiful sun shined down on us the rest of the day. The scuba girls had the opportunity to finally start working with Scuba Joe this morning in preparation for their adventure in Canada. Other campers were hanging out over at the ropes course and others spent lots of time at sports playing kick ball and even a little bit of Gaga. We will continue to try and get some more great pictures of our fun adventures up on our Flickr page, so keep posted!
Today was an absolutely beautiful day here at Camp Seven Hills. Without some of the humidity from yesterday, the almost 80 degree today weather was much more enjoyable. Most of our girls had their group photos taken (that will be going home with each camper at the end of the week 🙂 ), the girls in our Fun in the Sun program and our Scuba Diving Exploration had the opportunity to enjoy the slip and slide and some water balloons down at sports (check out some photos here), and almost everyone made it to either the pool or down to boating to try and keep cool. We can’t wait to see what tomorrow will bring m
As the sun beat down on all of us here at Camp Seven Hills and the thermometer hit almost 85 degrees, campers began arriving and officially started our third session! The girls were able to complete their swim and ridding tests as well as get aquatinted with the other campers and counselors they’ll be living with for the next week ( or two 😉 ). Everyone was able to enjoy a special homemade dinner together and then finally we all sat down for our first campfire. The heat isn’t supposed to be going anywhere, so we’re all looking forward to a fun week full of lots of swimming and boating hopefully.
Today at Camp Seven Hills was full of both sadness and happiness. Campers were excited to see their families, but disappointed to have to leave all the great people they’ve had the opportunity to learn and play with throughout the week. The afternoon was full of silly and entertaining skits during our weekly Friday Folly Program. After, campers and staff all enjoyed one last dinner together before making final preparations for the parent program and then camper departure. The memories made this week will not be forgotten and we can not wait to see everyone next summer 😉
Today is our last full day of session 2 here at Camp Seven Hills. Our day was filled with the usual excitement of swimming, boating, climbing, and singing. Very early this morning (around 1am!) our friends from the NYC trip returned safely back to camp. You can check out some of their great photos here at our Flickr page.
Tonight we had our closing camp fire, full of long lived and always special traditions that will always hold a place in our hearts and memories. Though we essentially have already said good bye to our friends, we will cherish the time we have together tomorrow before we all go our separate ways again.
Today at Camp Seven Hills the weather has been much better than yesterday. It was a bit chilly in the morning, but as the day went on, the sun came out and it started to warm up. Campers were able to swim, boat, and practice the ropes course again finally.
We are also sad to report that our Sneak a Peak Mini session ended today. We reluctantly had to wish them farewell and hope to see them again soon!
If you check out our Flicker page here, you’ll be able to see all the fun and creative activities our campers in the Your Camp, You Choose program did at their Create Your Beauty party, complete with do-it-yourself facial masks, hair treatments, manicures, and friendship bracelets!
