Happy Whale Wednesday!
Did you know that a narwhal’s “horn” is actually a spiral-shaped tusk that can grow up to 10 feet long? That’s about as long as a kayak!
Campers kicked off the morning with pancakes, bacon (plus a vegan alternative), applesauce, and the usual dietary accommodation options. After conquering their daily kaper chores, campers played some group games like Splat and practiced some handstands!
Today’s themed meal was twin lunch! We saw some matching hairstyles and outfit colors in the dining hall! Some were so convincing we had to do a double take.
The Plainsman unit harnessed up for the ropes course boardwalk before trekking over to archery for some target practice. Meanwhile, other units cooled off with pool time and a slip-and-slide up by the sports fields.
The Highland unit had a cookout for lunch, making pasta and ramen for the main course. For dessert, they enjoyed classic s’mores and vanilla ice cream! A couple of campers enjoyed their s’mores extra well done. They also did some chores for the horse barn like tossing out the hay and exercising the horses with some trots!
In the Program Center, the Tally-Ho unit worked on disguising rocks as potatoes, flowers, and other fun creations. We’ll let you decide whether anyone was fooled by the world’s most convincing rock potato.
The Night Owls (Pine Hollow unit) went on an expedition to the bowling alley! Many interesting stances were used by the campers, I heard they had a hoot on their field trip!
