Happy Whale Wednesday! Did you know Bowhead whales are some longest living mammals on the planet? Some are capable of living up to 200 years!
Brownie Lodge had some fun with Feather and Bambi in the nature building where they went birding. Using binoculars and listening to bird calls, the unit discovered which birds are common around Seven Hills. They also dissected owl pellets, teaching them what the average diet is for them.
Early in the day up by sports, campers practiced some line dancing moves before boating. They took the horses out for a ride while it was still cool out. Campers also went to low ropes where they walked on the ropes and bridges up in the air.
Highland unit had a cookout for lunch today. Woah, it was tasty!! They grilled up some pizza grilled-cheese sandwiches in pie irons and made mac and cheese with some extra toppings like sausage and bacon! Later on in the afternoon we held rainy-day activities, well.. minus the rain. Because of the weather forecast all campers and staff moved into buildings and cabins where there is a mix of AC units and fans.
Campers went into the dining hall, drama, and arts and crafts for some board games, painting, dancing, and bracelet making! There were plenty of indoor activities to choose from before dinner! The last meal of the day was great! We ate breaded chicken, pasta, breadsticks, peas, salad, AND APPLE PIE!
Indoors or outdoors, Seven Hills is loads of fun!
