Indoor activities are continuing in buildings and cabins at camp. For breakfast we had build-your-own breakfast sandwiches and the usual cereal bar, and breakfast stand with danimals yogurt and assorted fruit. During the breakfast clean-up, the dining hall turned into a dance floor as campers sang campfire songs and danced along to music from the speaker!
The day-camp did a tuck shop raid and got some goodies!! The croc charms seem to be up everyone’s alley today. Down in the dining hall, creativity is in full swing with campers decorating sunglasses, painting, and making colorful boondoggles! Some campers have become expert boondoggle weavers and have been helping others learn their first stitches, which has been great to see.
Brownie Lodge played many rounds of ‘Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza’ after packing their bags up for pickup today. Arts and crafts was open for camper units that had finished packing as well. They painted, played Spoons, and crafted mini versions of themselves out of pipe cleaners! Over in Wettlaufer, our theatre space, campers and staff performed their own comedy skits on stage!
Now it’s time for lunch! The campers are now enjoying hotdogs with chips, fresh veggies, and assorted fruit. As always, dietary accomodations are available, including sunbutter jelly sandwiches, gluten free bread, and vegetarian options. Everyone is staying indoors with the help of air conditioning and fans while making the most out of today!
