3rd Day of Session 2

It has been a hot but great day here at Camp Seven Hills. Lots of exciting things are happening this week, such as the annual trip to New York City! The campers and staff members left bright and early this morning so that they would have plenty of time to see as much of NYC as possible.

The rest of us here at camp had a full itinerary as well. There was plenty of swimming, boating, arts and crafts, and fun elements of the ropes course to do throughout the day. We all enjoyed a great taco dinner, followed by an evening full of fun activities. Some enjoyed synchronized swimming, while other girls went on an adventurous dinosaur egg hunt. Some others even earned a badge creating a one-match fire! It’s safe to say we’ve had a long day at camp, but we are excited to see what the rest of the week brings for us!

P.S.: Girls can do amazing things with Girl Scouts all year long – click here to learn more! Plus, the first 50 people to renew for 2018 Camp by August 13th, 2017 will receive a 2018 Camp sweatshirt (2018 Camp re-registrations for this promotion can be done in person at camp by August 13, 2017). Also, create an account in WordPress and enable the browser notifications to get instant notifications about new camp blog posts even when you are not actively using WordPress.com.

P.P.S. If you have any photos of dropping off your camper that you’d like to share, we’re excited to see them! We’ll post them on social media, plus we’d love to possibly use them in future marketing materials. Send your camper pics to communications@gswny.org with your girl’s name and camp unit or program, plus if she a first-timer or a repeat camper.

  1. I appreciate this blog and understand that sometimes there are unexpected technical difficulties. Still, I can’t help but notice the sharp decline in blog length/frequency (compared to session one) and complete lack of photos. Logging on has just been a disappointment, but I will look forward to stories at pick up tomorrow. I’m sure the girls have had a fun week.
