Our first full day here at camp started out a wet one! Rain, rain, go away was the tune on everyone’s minds. For most of the morning we attempted to find fun activities to do such as visiting the tuck shop, making superhero disguises in arts and crafts, and mastering our skills in Drama, while avoiding the sporadic downpours. Fortunately, the second half of the day turned out to be so much nicer.
Our younger campers were able to enjoy the pool and some low ropes activities over at sports led by our camp director Goofy. The girls in our two-week horse programs were able to spend some time taking care of, getting to know, and riding the horses over at the barn. The girls in our ropes program hiked on over to the other side of camp to rough it out for the night. The girls in our Counselors in Training (CIT) program kicked off their first of four weeks here at camp by playing a little bit of Gaga over at Sports. And though we were sad to see them leave, our Cave Dwellers and River Rats set out on their journey to Pennsylvania for some adventurous spelunking and river rafting! We can’t wait to hear all about their experience when they return on Thursday and fill them in on all the fun stuff that is sure to happen here back at camp 😉 .
Take a look at the photos of some of the excitement on our Flickr page.
Thank you 🙂
The pictures were great!
