We kicked off our first official full day at Camp Seven Hills with an early morning session of road runners, whereby our campers and counsellors began their day with a run! After working up an appetite, our kitchen staff cooked us up a hearty breakfast of pancakes, bacon and orange juice!
Following this and our morning kapers, our campers over at Sugarbush spent their first session of the day at our Archery unit, in which many attempts were made to hit the bullseye (and potentially some arrows also finding their way over the netting)! Meanwhile, over at the barn, our Tack and Ride campers spent some quality time with our horses! As these activities were taking place, our CITs played several games created by our very own counsellors; Eggo, Goop and Aster!
At the same time just a few feet away, our Night Owls enjoyed a fun hour on our slip ‘n’ slide creating an air full of laughter, whilst also soaking their counsellors and potentially even the Media Director (I can’t say no to those faces)!
After our campers filled their stomachs with sandwiches and chocolate pudding, it was time for our second half of the day to begin, whereby, our campers over at highland created their very own fashion show – even creating outfits for their counsellors as well! As this was happening, our Sneak-a-Peek campers had a quieter but just as magical afternoon creating Pinecone Owls with our beloved nature guru, Feather!
For those who are new to camp, our evenings are spent playing activities at Campers Choice, in which campers essentially get to choose which activity sounds the most fun for them to take part in. For this evening, our campers had the choice of; Sticker Making, Castle Ball and Musical Statues.
Today has brought new adventures and memories made and it’s only just the beginning!
