We were happy to welcome Assembly Member and Seven Hills alumna Karen McMahon for a tour of camp today! Thank you for joining us today and we hope you had as much fun as we do here every day at camp!

We’re jumping into Week 2! Our first full day of Session 2 started off strong in the dining hall with Eggo waffles and sausage for breakfast, along with our usual cereal bar, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, and assorted fruit.

Bunkhouse and the day camp units had fun creating wonderful projects in arts and crafts. They churned out numerous painted rocks, animal-themed binoculars, and tie-dye butterflies! Picking up a craft is a great way to wind down after a long day in the sun. A few camper units headed over to the pool to cool off! With the warm weather, the pool is sure to be a popular spot in the days ahead.
For lunch, we enjoyed chicken fries, sweet potato fries, broccoli, and our fruit bar. For dietary alternatives, tuna salad, chicken salad, sunbutter and jelly sandwiches are typically offered. After lunch we conducted our scheduled fire drill to ensure campers and staff are prepared to follow our safety procedures in the event of an emergency.
The Sugarbush unit headed up to the sports field and warmed up with some soccer shooting drills for their tournament. The teams were evenly matched, making for an exciting tournament!
There’s plenty to look forward to tomorrow, including a slip-and-slide, a rekindling event, and cookouts for every meal!

what did Highlands do today?!
Highland that day had a mini cookout where they fired up some s’mores on the campfire! They built the fire themselves and roasted the marshmallows to their liking. I believe this day they went out boating on the lake where campers could pick between kayaks, paddle-boards, and more!
