On our third day here at Camp Seven Hills this week, we unfortunately have to prepare to say goodbye to some of our younger friends. The girls in the It’s My First Time Mini Program are leaving us later this evening. They spent their last day packing up from their camp-out in the sports field last night, cleaning, and getting their things ready for when their families arrive after dinner. Don’t worry though; they still found time to have lots of fun while at the pool and nature.
Elsewhere on camp, campers got busy with tie dye in arts in crafts, tackling the zip line at the ropes course, working on some jumping exercises up at the barn with the horses, and lots of other fun activities. Though we are sad to see some of our friends go, we are excited to see what the rest of the week has in store for the rest of us. Check out some of the great pictures from this week on our Flickr page.
Though today at camp was a little cooler out than it has been so far this week, it didn’t stop us from enjoying ourselves. There was lots of boating, swimming, climbing, riding, and so much more. The girls in our Dances with Branches program returned safely from Lakeside early this morning just as the rest of camp was finishing breakfast in the dining hall. The CIT’s got busy keeping the legend of the “Magic Bathtub” alive, carrying our iconic cast-iron tub to a new location near the main office while the younger campers were busy getting ready for their cookout over at Bunkhouse.
The girls in our Seven Hills Amazing Race program also enjoyed a lunchtime cookout, complete with camp favorites such as dutch oven chicken wing dip and pie iron pizzas. The Riding Counselors in Training (RCIT’s) had an opportunity to have their first riding lesson of the session. We also got an update from our girls in the Cave Dwellers and River Rats this morning, and we were glad to hear that they made it to their destination safely and had successfully completing their spelunking experience! Our first full day here at camp started out a wet one! Rain, rain, go away was the tune on everyone’s minds. For most of the morning we attempted to find fun activities to do such as visiting the tuck shop, making superhero disguises in arts and crafts, and mastering our skills in Drama, while avoiding the sporadic downpours. Fortunately, the second half of the day turned out to be so much nicer.
Our younger campers were able to enjoy the pool and some low ropes activities over at sports led by our camp director Goofy. The girls in our two-week horse programs were able to spend some time taking care of, getting to know, and riding the horses over at the barn. The girls in our ropes program hiked on over to the other side of camp to rough it out for the night. The girls in our Counselors in Training (CIT) program kicked off their first of four weeks here at camp by playing a little bit of Gaga over at Sports. And though we were sad to see them leave, our Cave Dwellers and River Rats set out on their journey to Pennsylvania for some adventurous spelunking and river rafting! We can’t wait to hear all about their experience when they return on Thursday and fill them in on all the fun stuff that is sure to happen here back at camp 😉 .

Today at Camp Seven Hills was full of both sadness and happiness. Campers are excited to see their families, but disappointed to have to leave all the great people they’ve had the opportunity to learn from and play with throughout the week. The afternoon was busy with a camp wide egg hunt, as well as lots of silly and entertaining skits at our weekly Friday Folly Program. After, campers and staff will all enjoy one last dinner together before making final preparations for the parent program and then camper departure. The memories made this week will not be forgotten and we can not wait to see everyone next summer. Take a look at all the great pictures from this weeks programs on our Flickr page.
Today marks the last full day of our second week here at Camp Seven Hills. The day was full of interesting and exciting happenings. The detectives in our Secret Agent Girls program spent the afternoon using their skills to rescue their counselor, Boots, who had been kidnapped by our camp director Goofy! Up at the barn, the girls in our Canter Up and Heads Up, Heels Down programs got a little wet and wild while cleaning out the water buckets. The campers and counselors ended up cleaner than the buckets. Check out the pictures here at our Flickr page! We also had the pleasure of hosting the wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Banana (If you want the details of this unique and fun filled event you’ll have to check with the girls from our Camp Seven Hills Sisterhood). As for our Jr. CIT’s, they had the opportunity to work with some of our yonger campers, guiding them through a scavenger hunt in search of one of their lost counselors as well! All in all, today was just another day here at camp. We ended it with a traditional closing campfire full of fun skits and songs, followed by a trip down friendship path. We look forward to spending one more day together, but can’t wait to see all our family and friends tomorrow at check out 😉
It has been a hot but great day here at Camp Seven Hills. Lots of exciting things are happening this week, such as the annual trip to New York City! The campers and staff members left bright and early this morning so that they would have plenty of time to see as much of NYC as possible.
The rest of us here at camp had a full itinerary as well. There was plenty of swimming, boating, arts and crafts, and fun elements of the ropes course to do throughout the day. We all enjoyed a great taco dinner, followed by an evening full of fun activities. Some enjoyed synchronized swimming, while other girls went on an adventurous dinosaur egg hunt. Some others even earned a badge creating a one-match fire! It’s safe to say we’ve had a long day at camp, but we are excited to see what the rest of the week brings for us!

Session 2 is off to a great start! The weather was great yesterday as campers got checked in and situated, then started participating in activities and getting to know each other! They finished their swim tests and enjoyed pizza for dinner before heading off to our opening campfire!
The weather was beautiful again today as girls got started on all sorts of fun camp activities including swimming, boating, nature, low ropes activities, arts and crafts, spending time at the barn, and shopping at our Tuck Shop!
