Happy 96 Years at Camp Seven Hills!
Today was just about the perfect summer camp day, with a cool morning, sunny afternoon, and plenty of fun activities around camp. But…before the fun starts we had a breakfast of waffles and bacon at the dining hall, with options of danimals, cereal, sun-butter and jelly sandwiches, and hard boiled eggs. Soon after breakfast units completed their kapers chores around the camp and jumped into their first activities!
Group camp shot off towards archery and did some target practice today! They also joined Feather on a nature hike! Campers even reeled in some exciting catches, including a 16-inch fish and one that blended in with the branches a little too well. Nice catch, Rascal!

Over at Highland groups of campers built shelters using loose wood, and some of them were real sturdy! Brownie Lodge put on a fun skit for everyone, and we were honored to attend opening night!

Pine Hollow campers made the low ropes climbing wall look easy, although after giving it a try myself, I can confirm the holds are much harder than they look! Nearby low ropes, at the sports fields, the Highland unit ran around playing capture the flag!
Dinner featured pulled BBQ chicken sandwiches, scalloped potatoes, and salad. While most campers ate in the dining hall, Pine Hollow enjoyed their own cookout. For camper’s choice after dinner, I bounced between kickball and speed-drawing, where they drew portraits of CIT’s and counselors! These campers are pretty talented, even getting the small details in the background of the portrait!
Tally-ho did something a little different for camper’s choice, they had a movie night with some popsicles! They watched K-Pop Demon Hunters in their pj’s before heading off to bed.
That just about wraps up a few of the things from camp today, a good taste of activities all over Seven Hills!
