Happy Monday!
The first full day was packed with many activities. Fueling up for the morning, campers enjoyed some breakfast sandwiches, as well as cereal, yogurt, boiled eggs, and assorted fruit! The Brownie Lodge unit visited the nature building with Feather, they crafted their own bug jars and explored the woods. They found some pretty cool stuff, like beetles and a dragonfly!
The Tally-Ho unit made super scary zombie masks, be careful walking around tonight you never know if there’s a zombie lurking in the woods … A handful of units went down to archery, boating, and the pool while the sun was out for most of the day. Lunch was quesadillas and corn on the cob, and dietary accommodation options like sunbutter and jelly sandwiches, gluten-free bread, deli-meat, and assorted fruit! But even fun isn’t bound by the weather forecast, when the drizzle picked up campers began rain dancing!
The Highland unit unleashed their creative souls by creating and performing their own skits in small groups, and wow can these scouts put on a show! For dinner campers enjoyed a chicken stir fry with rice and mixed veggies, and as always dietary accommodation options were available to campers. A little whale named Molly told me that some units will be up to some mischief tonight…We’ll see if her prediction of tomfoolery comes true, stay tuned!
